My Philosophy

Partners In A Team — Better Together

A picture of items balancing to create harmony.

Your brain is involved in everything you do. Therefore, the best outcomes require us to optimize all the areas of your life that we can. Sleep, interpersonal relationships, nutrition, physical exercise, each of these can support or detract from feeling your best. Having a holistic approach enables us to make the greatest and most long-lasting strides in your mental health.

My own journey has shaped my perspective on the role of psychiatry. I have seen the value that compassion towards others as well as ourselves can have on healing. I have experienced the power of mindfulness to recalibrate an anxious brain. And I’ve witnessed what an expertly trained therapist can achieve with evidence-based treatments such as DBT and CBT.

Just as a multi-pronged approach to treatment is always better, finding support from a network of friends, family and health professionals can create a restorative environment.

"The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world."
